What happens if you refuse to join the institute Fallout 4?

If you decide to pledge final loyalty with the Institute Faction in Fallout 4, then you will no longer be able to complete quests or contact allies of other factions. You will need to complete a select number of quests that require you to wipe out both the Brotherhood of Steel and the Railroad.

Why did the institute want Shaun?

At this time, the Institute was desperate for genetic material unaffected by the radiation-ravaged wasteland for their Third Generation Synth project. The infant, Shaun, represented the perfect source of uncorrupted DNA, and the Institute set about to acquire him.

Can you join the Institute Fallout 4?

Players will in fact be able to join the Institute faction, but not before completing a majority of the main story quests.

Can you keep X6 88 if you destroy the Institute?

Even after the player character has destroyed the Institute, X6-88 still can be found near the Nordhagen Beach settlement and still can be recruited as a companion. Moreover, dismissing him will simply make him teleport back to the Institute SRB as if it is not destroyed.

Should I side with The Institute or the railroad?

Upon leaving the Institute building, there is also an opportunity to save a Synth boy who believes you to be his parent. If you feel Synths deserve an equal chance at living amongst humans, then the Railroad faction ending is your best option.

Can The Institute be good?

In my opinion, The Institute is the “best” faction in Fallout 4. Aside from all of that gaff, the “karma” of any faction really depends on the Sole Survivor’s choices and ideals. Though no matter what, I personally can’t ever see the Brotherhood of Steel ever being a good faction.

Can Virgil go back to The Institute?

Even if the player character becomes director of the Institute and subsequently gives Virgil the serum, there is no option via dialogue to have the now-human Virgil return to the Institute.

Can the institute and Minutemen work together?

can you join minutemen and institute? You can join all of them at the same time dude. Not until close the end of the game you need to pick a side. Minutemen are pretty neutral, and you can pretty much stay with them, no matter what other group you side with.

Why is the institute so evil?

That would essentially turn the whole “evil” argument onto it’s ass, as one of the biggest reasons people label The Institute as evil is their enslavement of what they believe to be humans, but at the time, they were believed by their creators to just be machines.
