What is minimum RSSI?

How Minimum RSSI works. Received Signal Strength Indication (RSSI) is a value indicating the perceived signal level of a wireless client from the AP’s perspective. The Minimum RSSI value is set individually on each AP and indicates the minimum signal level required for a client to remain connected.

What causes high RSSI?

One of the frequent problems with in-building installations is inadequate gain control of the BDA, causing saturation in the donor site. Improper installation of a service antenna caused high RSSI problems, affecting LTE services.

Is RSSI 40 good?

RSSI Reading Meaning -66 to -90 is critical and will likely cause a loss of functionality or be unable to maintain a usable connection the wifi altogether. -65 to -41 is sufficient. Possible video issues if constantly at -60. -40 or better is virtually no interference and a very strong signal.

The RSSI value is quite important here – it stands for Received Signal Strength Indicator, and any values below -60 could indicate an issue. Of course, below -60 means a value between -60 and -100 – a value closer to 0 is actually good.
