Is IB Physics difficult?

First and foremost, the IB Physics course is tough one, particularly at Higher Level (HL). We regularly tutor students taking the IB Physics course who have come to us for extra lessons when they end up struggling, particularly if they didn’t love Physics in the first place.

  3. KNOW HOW TO APPROACH TRICKY PROBLEMS.
  4. KEEP IT PRACTICAL!
  5. PRACTICE EXAM TECHNIQUE.

Is IB multiple choice?

Multiple choice questions feature very heavily in IB Physics, particularly in the final IB Physics exams, where the whole of Paper 1 is devoted to multiple choice questions. It is also highly likely that throughout your course, your teacher will give you multiple choice questions.

How hard is it to get a 7 in HL physics?

Nonetheless, it is still very possible to attain a 7. In fact, according to the IB Statistical Report in November 2009, 31% of Standard Level Candidates and 20% of Higher Level Candidates received a 7. This means that on average, in a class of 20 HL students, 4 will get a 7. So how do you get into that top 20%?

What percentage is a 7 in IB physics?

Paper 1 Grade Boundaries HL Physics Paper one has 40 marks, 40 questions in it, and 27 of them need to be correct for you to get a 7. That means you can get 13 questions wrong on paper one, and you can still get a 7. Overall you’re looking at a pass rate of 67.5% for a 7 and IB Physics in Paper 1.

What is a good physics question?

How can a material at a certain temperature have all of its molecules at the same energy? How can an electron leap between atomic levels without passing through all the space in between?
