Can a head injury cause nose bleeds?

A nosebleed occurs after a head injury (possible skull fracture). Your nose was hit, injured or broken (crooked).

Can hitting your head cause bleeding?

Head injuries may cause bleeding in the brain tissue and the layers that surround the brain (subarachnoid hemorrhage, subdural hematoma, epidural hematoma). Symptoms of a head injury can occur right away or may develop slowly over several hours or days.

Can a brain bleed cause a bloody nose?

Bend over for a long period of time. Eat warm and spicy food—which can cause blood vessels to dilate—on the day of a nosebleed.
