Can the Mossberg 500 BE magazine fed?

The standard Mossberg 500 has a magazine tube that holds five rounds in the tube and one in the chamber. That is a total of 6 rounds. Due to the design of the Mossberg 500, you cannot add a magazine extension tube. Even if you could, reloading the Mossberg is not a fast endeavor.

Is there a magazine fed shotgun?

A mag fed shotgun offers a greater level of capacity than a standard tube-fed model without a 4-foot tube sticking out. Your average tactical shotguns offer around 8-rounds, but some mag fed variants can squeeze up to 20-rounds in a magazine. A magazine fed, semi-auto shotgun can be a real beast of a weapon.

The OpSOL Mini Clip allows you to use Aguila Mini Shells in your Mossberg 500 or 590 shotgun, increasing your ammunition capacity by over 60% and lowering recoil significantly. It can be installed (for the MiniShells) and removed (for Full Size Shells) based on the shell size the operator chooses, in under 5 seconds.

Why are shotguns tube fed?

A mag fed shotgun is easier to reload if you plan on running the gun empty before you reload. A tube-fed shotgun is more comfortable to reload on the fly. You add a round or two as you shoot, and your tube magazine should never go dry. As you shoot, you load, and that’s the golden rule behind working a shotgun.

What does box Fed mean?

A box-fed shotgun is more like a rifle with the weight in the center of the gun. It swings less intuitively and feels entirely different from a normal shotgun. That’s a lot of weight in the middle of the gun. And again, shotgun ammunition is bulky, so magazines are bulky.

Is there a shotgun that uses a clip?

Magazine fed shotguns were one of my favorite developments in 2018. They existed well before 2018, but really seem to have come into their own when companies like Remington and Mossberg both put out one or more magazine-fed shotgun, and many smaller companies upped their game to compete.
