What is roloc?

What is the difference between sanding and grinding?

These two tools are very different from each other overall. They each have various attachments that can be used on them. Angle grinders use discs of all sorts, and sanders use sandpaper pads or sandpaper belts. The amount of different sander attachments is more limited than discs for an angle grinder.

What is hook lock sandpaper?

Hook-and-loop sandpaper has a backing made of a material similar to Velcro. It has hooks and loops that are used to attach the sandpaper to a machine such as a random orbital sander or disc sander. This makes it very simple to change the sandpaper.

How are coated abrasives made?

Coated abrasives are manufactured using abrasive grains; the most common are aluminum oxide, zirconium, ceramic, silicon carbide and garnet. The crude grains are crushed and separated into sizes, called grit sizes, using calibrated screens. Grits range from 12 (very coarse) to 1200 (very fine).
