What is the purpose of casing spacers?

Casing Spacers are used to center water, sewer, gas and other fluids in casings. Casing insulators are used to support and electrically insulate a cathodically protected pipeline from a casing pipe through which it must pass.

What is a casing insulator?

Casing insulators are used to support and electrically isolate a pipeline from a casing pipe through which it must pass and are used in river crossings, canal crossings and bridge crossings as well as highway and railroad crossings.

What is a pipe sleeve?

Pipe sleeves are a metal covering that fit over your copper pipes that comes out of the floor and go into your radiator. They’re a fantastic way of supercharging your radiator valves and making them look even more stylish.

What is spacer in construction?

A rebar spacer is a device that secures the reinforcing steel or “rebar” in reinforced concrete structures as the rebar is assembled in place prior to the final concrete pour. The spacers are left in place for the pour to keep the reinforcing in place, and become a part of the structure.

Why are sleeves used?

The sleeve operates by putting gentle pressure on the outer skin surface. This has the effect of subtly increasing blood pressure in the arms, which helps increase the flow of blood throughout the body.

What is slip blind?

Spectacle blind, spades, and spacers are also known as figure-8, paddle blank, Slip blind, and spacer. These are three different components that used in piping for positive isolation of the section of a line or equipment during maintenance and shutdown.

What is flange and blind?

A blind flange is a solid disk used to block off a pipeline or to create a stop. Similar to a regular flange, a blind flange has mounting holes around the perimeter and the gasket sealing rings are machined into the mating surface. The difference is that a blind flange has no opening for fluids to pass through.

Why are spacers used in concrete?

A rebar spacer is a device that secures the reinforcing steel or “rebar” in reinforced concrete structures as the rebar is assembled in place prior to the final concrete pour. The spacers are left in place for the pour to keep the reinforcing in place, and become a permanent part of the structure.

What is spacer block?

The spacer block is a framework fitted around each end of the pipe or conduit to separate it is physically from the other pipes in the bore. Multiple pipes in the bore may each have spacer blocks attached. The spacer blocks can be interlocked to form matrix through which the pipes are conduits they run.

What is spacer in P&ID?

What is a Spectacle blind and Spacer. Spectacle blind and Spacers are a pressure-retaining device used in the piping/pipeline industry to temporarily or permanently blind (shut) or isolate part of the piping or pipeline system.

What is paddle blind?

A Paddle Blind is basically the solid half of a Spectacle Blind. A Paddle Blind is often made from one solid metal disc and will usually have a thin length of metal attached to one end to be used as a handle. A finished assembly will resemble the shape of a paddle, hence the name.
