The 12th Century Ardrossan Castle is one of the oldest castles in Scotland. Ardrossan Castle and its Church and Churchyard were owned by the Lords of Ardrossan who were colleagues and friends to the Kings of Scotland from David I through to and including William Wallace and Robert the Bruce.
