How do you check tire pressure on a Range Rover dashboard?

The instrument panel can be used to display the vehicle’s tire pressures. You can access this through the Vehicle Information menu. Using the Vehicle Information menu can also allow you to change the display to either bar, psi, or kPa. When selected, the last known tire pressures are displayed.

Why is my tire pressure light on spare tire?

The spare tire is not equipped with a TPMS sensor, so the TPMS light on the dash comes on because it cannot get a reading from that tire. The light will stay on until you have the normal wheel replaced.

How do you reset the tire pressure monitor on a Range Rover?

With the vehicle off, turn the key to the “On” position without starting the vehicle. Hold the TPMS reset button until the tire pressure light blinks three times, then release it. Start the car and wait 20 minutes for the sensor to refresh. You will find the TPMS reset button under the steering wheel.

Does the spare tire have a pressure sensor?

Most customers are unaware that their spare tire also comes equipped with a tire pressure monitor, and the TPMS is only installed on full-sized spares, not donut spares. The light may also turn on when a tire is punctured, warning you of a flat before it happens.

Should spare tire be fully inflated?

Unlike your four regular tires, compact spare tires typically should be inflated to around 60 pounds per square inch; PSI far short of that level could fail and damage the wheel, as well.

2021 Discovery Sport

  1. Remove the tire valve cap.
  2. Firmly attach a tire pressure gauge and/or inflator to the valve.
  3. Read the tire pressure from the gauge and add air, if required.
  4. If air is added to the tire via a manual gauge, remove the gauge and re-attach it before reading the pressure.
  5. Refit the valve cap.

How does Landrover TPMS work?

The Land Rover Range Rover, Evoque, Sport and Velar are equipped with a direct TPMS system which has TPMS sensors installed in the wheel. If one or more tires indicate low tire pressure, the TPMS sensors will transfer the information to the vehicle’s ECU.

How many miles can you drive on a spare tire?

You should not drive over 50 mph and no more than 50 miles with a donut-type spare tire. Driving for long distances on a spare tire can potentially cause damage to other car parts, including the transmission.

Do full size spare tires have TPMS?

Administrator. OEM “full size” spare does not have TPMS, I believe. If you are intending to do five way rotation with five identical wheels and tires, you may want to put a TPMS in your up-sized spare.

Why is the spare 60 PSI?

60 psi is what I’ve put in every small spare I’ve had. It’s a very small tire and needs all that air pressure (or something close to it) to properly support the car. If, like most people, you don’t check the pressure often, then you have all the more reason to put the full 60 psi in.

How much air should be in a Range Rover tire?

between 32-36 PSI
As a rule of thumb, tire pressure should usually be between 32-36 PSI.
