Can I use any modem with OptiComm?

OptiComm will have already provided your premise with an OptiComm Connection Box, which acts as a modem. You will need to connect/purchase a router which will then distribute the connection via WiFi.

Is OptiComm a VDSL?

Opticomm provides a fibre to the premises (FTTP) or VDSL (high speed cable) connection, which can deliver some pretty fast speeds.

Is OptiComm faster than NBN?

OptiComm is superior to around 80% of NBN connections because it doesn’t include any older technology. Most of the NBN uses decades-old copper wires and coaxial cables as part of its connections, which can’t transmit signals as fast as fibre-optic can. This limits the maximum speed of some Australian NBN connections.
