What replaced the American Standard Telecaster?

Fender American Pro series
The new Fender American Pro series replaces the old American Standards and brings the guitars more in line with the recently released Fender American Elites. The Fender Strat, Tele, Jaguar, Jazzmaster and the basses are legendary models and have been played by an enormous range of players over the last sixty-odd years.

Are American-made telecasters better?

In short, an American-made Telecaster costs more. They have improved pickup and hardware quality. American builds have examples of handcrafting, including smooth edges. But both guitars are of great quality and clone the Telecaster sound.

When did fender stop making American standard?

2017
In 2017, the American Standard Stratocaster was replaced by the American Professional Stratocaster, with narrow frets, a fatter ‘deep C’ neck profile and V-Mod pickups. Various other modern American-made Stratocasters have been produced.

Are American fenders worth it?

So are they worth it? Yes, absolutely. With higher price comes an exceptional attention to detail and amazing sound quality. American Fenders are often used by professional musicians during tours and studio recordings.

Is a Fender worth the money?

Where are American fenders made?

Made In California All American Fenders are being made in Corona. Although the corporate headquarters of the company are in Scottsdale, Arizona, their main manufacturing centre is based in California.

Are Mexican made fenders good?

That being said, Mexican Strats are still excellent sounding guitars. They deliver the same versatile range as the American Strats, with that same snappy tone quality. They just don’t have that extra oomph that makes an American Strat an American Strat.
