This has been specifically designed to be warm but breathable for outdoor use and is partially made from renewable, plant-based fibres so is better for the environment. The shell version offers a mesh lining for a touch of extra warmth, but really this is a jacket optimised for high tempo use.

They are incredible, and I’ve loved every jacket I’ve had with them. The underarm vents also deserve praise because they open and close so darn easily; it’s not a waterproof zipper and just has a placket covering it to keep snow out. The result is an easy-pulling zipper.

Does Montec run big or small?
The bibs, too, have deep leg pockets and an extra large chest pocket. The Fenix Unisex Jacket and Pants comes in orange (which will make your photographer happy), white or black. As for sizing, it is best to go one size smaller than what you’d normally wear since Montec tends to fit on the larger size.
