A system object described by a state-space model in MATLAB can be formed using sys = ss(A,B,C,D,Ts) ; where A, B, C and D are the A, B, C and D matrices and Ts is the time between samples. The function ssdata extracts state space matrices from a system object and the function ss2ss transforms one state- space model into another.
